Unexplained Legends of Oklahoma


Even though Oklahoma has been settled now for over 100 years, there are still vast unexplored areas to be found throughout the state.  In some areas, such as the Ouachita Mountains in southeast Oklahoma, massive old world forests still cover much of the land.  Some of these places still have yet to be explored and could contain such beasts as Oklahoma's Boggy Bottom Monster, a Sasquatch native to the region.  In other areas of the forest you may run across beasts such as the Oklahoma Satyr. 

While many of these beasts of legend may be pure fantasy, there's always some truth to every myth.  Is the Oklahoma Giant Octopus real, or is it a case of mistaken identity?  You be the judge as you read through this article featuring several of Oklahoma's greatest mythological creatures.
